Hey Mac! We might just have to settle for McCain, especially when the alternatives are Hillary and Obama. Read my PoorGrrl Zone post on conservatives' angst over McCain. It's titled, "Get A Grip!".
I am not sure who I will vote for if I vote for anyone for that office at all.
McCain needs to do a lot of talking and doing before I will plug my nose and vote for him.
I keep thinking that when Bush 41 lost at the time I thought it was the end of the world but in fact it was just the beginning of the Republican Revolution.
We got Congress two years latter and policy wise we got most of what we wanted passed.
Maybe a Democrat in the White House won't be all bad. Getting Congress back will be much easier.
But then there is the war and the Supreme Court and pos openings.
McCain's first test in winning back conservatives will be picking a running mate that is more like us than like him.
